Saint/Sinner...Different?

This might be something that is completely out of this world or normal {to the real Christian}. Mainly people just play-act a Christian. What's the difference? 

Real Christians help another in need; if they are unable to do anything they pull people together. You do not see that anymore. Over twenty years ago people would pull others together and get the issue resolved.

So, why are some Christians blessed and others are not? Are they sinning? Is God showing favour? What is it?? Why is it??

The Theory~~
Before 2000, I was not walking with the Lord fully. I was never an addict, acholic, thief, smoked, or had tattoo's; I cursed some. But I do not curse hardly anymore. In other words, I do not have a conversation and use profanity. 
I was living well, had groceries weekly, had a job, had friends; but, was not living God's word.
As I begun stripping away the sin and walking with God I realized things were being taken from me. I could not figure it out. The people I would see and talk to at church were thriving and I wasn't. What were they doing different than me??

Fast forward to the present, I fully live in God's word and everything has been taken away. I get to eat well for about 15-20 days and then its a struggle to get any help! 

The only thing I can figure out is God is blessing those who are still with sin. I am not talking about a few sins.....more than a few!
I lived as a part time Christian and got everything; then I lived 100% in God's way and suffer to make ends meet.

Saint - God???
